Barbecues (new)

Stainless steel: Plain

  • Made from materials that will be durable and can be suitably protected from exterior elements, such as salt spray and UV exposure. Cabinet, workbench and cook top.  
  • Cabinets must be flat surfaced, 316 stainless steel. 
  • All stainless steel surfaces must be have a high quality polish finish. Surface coatings are not supported. 
  • All barbecue cabinets and hotplates must be 316 marine grade stainless steel, with a high quality polish finish.

Barbecues (older model)

Note: this barbecue is an outdated style and not preferred anymore.  Colour schemes are suitable until the end of asset life. 



Rendered (older model)

  • Rendered base: Dulux Jasper (or equivalent)
  • Top: Dulux Monument (or equivalent)
  • EXISTING steel/metal component (e.g. doors, meter doors): Hammertone -Dark grey
  • NEW metal components: doors and e.g. covers where meters have been removed: Plain stainless steel.

Bicycle racks and rails


Rails: 316 stainless steel tube. 

Powder-coating, 2 pack epoxy or painted surfaces are NOT accepted.

Bollards


  1. Recycled plastic - black (preferred) 
  2. Recycled plastic - brown or grey with custodian approval
  3. Custom/precinct palette (custodian approval required)
  4. Timber bollards NOT preferred – finish with non-polyurethane ultra deck or lanotec (or equivalent).

Drinking fountains


  • Must be Grade 316 stainless steel. 
  • Do NOT select powdercoat/2 pack epoxy.

Dog exercise areas


  • Fence and gates: black anti-corrosive coating for all componentry. Heavy Duty PVC coated (Black) wire mesh.
  • Furniture: follow wider park palette
  • Shelters: dark coloured posts, otherwise follow wider park palette.

Garden edging


  • Plain concrete (preferred)
  • Custom/precinct palette (custodian approval required).

Fabric that requires custodian approval:

Additional notes:  Dark coloured shade sails are preferred to minimise staining and to meet UV requirements. Select darker colours to minimise staining and retain UVR protection. Consider lighter colours in residential/character areas.

Posts: Plain galvanised steel (no colour)


All framework and steel to be hot dipped galvanised (after manufacture). Coating systems should NOT be used.

Showers


Stainless steel



Required design features include a 316 marine grade stainless steel bolt down body Showers must be constructed of 316 marine grade stainless steel (e.g. satin No. 4). Powder-coating, 2 pack epoxy or painted surfaces are NOT accepted due to the paint
chipping, requiring ongoing maintenance.

Signage (Vehicle entry sign - Parks)



  • Timber posts and horizontal: Monument (Dulux or equivalent)
  • Letters: white.

Concrete finishes: (post‑installation paint application or integral colour added to the concrete mix during pouring).
