This category addresses the following:
Sensitive design solutions for existing trees
Sensitive design solutions for new trees
Strategies to protect embellishments/infrastructure from future tree root conflicts.
Tree sensitive design is an overarching category that MUST be used in conjunction with each LIM embellishment category.
This tree sensitive design package is prescribed for all existing and new trees including:
street trees
trees in parks, sport and recreation trails (open space)
trees in environmental reserves.
Note: For the purpose of continuity and consistency, the term "pathways" refers to the following:
walkways
boardwalks
decking.
