The project constructed a bio-retention basin and installation of a stormwatered street tree system around existing and new trees. The basin was design to remove pollutants in the stormwater catchment by filtering the runoff ('first flush' - most polluted stormwater) before it enters the creek system. The project created an overall reduction of water within the park, as well as improving the overall appearance.

The project constructed a sediment basin and a bio-retention basin. Both of these systems were design to remove pollutants in the stormwater from the June Blanck Park catchment by filtering the runoff ('first flush' most polluted stormwater) before it enters Petrie Creek. The project also beautified and created an interactive element for recreational users into the park.
