Pictograms
General
Pictograms are a powerful visual tool. They offer a universal language to convey messages quickly and effectively and have been developed to identify specific services and facilities, in place of text. Their versatility can streamline communications and help create a more inclusive and user-friendly message.
- All pictograms must be to the appropriate scale.
- Pictograms must be installed with a high contrast between symbol and background.
- Pictograms should be used with discretion, as over-use may lead to visual clutter, and confusion.
